    MARCO KRUHLAK, PeeWee

Marco Kruhlak has played hockey for the North Seera Hockey Society since he was four years old. A natural athlete, Marco plays several sports including soccer and ball hockey, and basketball for his school’s senior team. He is also a member of the Shumka school of Ukrainian dance.

Marco’s coaches and teachers have written letters in support of his leadership and sportsmanship
Despite his numerous athletic commitments, Marco still finds time to get involved with his community volunteering to shovel walks, deliver toys with Santa’s Anonymous and help load food for the Edmonton Food Bank.

Marco currently attends St. Kevin’s Junior High School where he continues to achieve honours standings.

    MARK CRAIG, Junior player

Playing in his third year with the Northstars Junior C team, Mark currently ranks eighth in NJHL scoring with 29 points in 13 games (as of Dec. 7, 2011). He hopes to continue to play hockey while attending the University of Alberta in the Faculty of Science.

Throughout his school years, Mark has held an average in the mid-nineties. In his first year at the U of A, Mark was on the Dean’s honour roll, with a 3.56 GPA. He is fully committed to schoolwork, studying and completing any bonus assignments to further improve his grades so he can fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor.

Mark has always strived to be a great community member: he has volunteered to shovel sidewalks, coach volleyball at Mary Butterworth School, act as assistant hockey coach with both Peewee and Bantam teams for the NE zone and was a member of O’Leary High School Student Union.

    GRAEME TORRIE, Bantam AA

Graeme Torrie is a grade nine student at École J.H. Picard School. In elementary school, Graeme was an “A” student and he has maintained his scholastic status into junior high: for the past two years, Graeme has been awarded with honours with distinction.

Graeme is involved in many community activities including: raising money for the Stollery Children’s Hospital, volunteering for Santa’s Anonymous and participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure, the J.H Picard 12 hour bike-a-thon and the Ironteam Cops for Cancer.

He started playing hockey in 2003 for the North Seera organization and continues to receive praises from coaches for his leadership skills, his willingness to do whatever the team requires and his versatility. Graeme’s adaptability to situations on the ice has seen him play both forward and defense for the Freeze Maxwell Bantam AA. Graeme maintains that success can be achieved by hard work, determination and a positive attitude.
